SFWMRT Wins 2008 Mayor’s Cup

The San Francisco Women’s Match Racing Team won the 2008 Mayor’s Cup!
The team had another good day today – winning the final match in the round robin to finish the round robins undefeated and be in a position to pick our competitor for the semi-finals. We chose the fourth place team, Charlie Arms-Cartee. We won both matches in the semis to advance to the finals to meet Sandy Hayes, who had also won both matches in her semi-finals against Sam Osborne. We then had two spirited matches with Sandy in the finals which we won, but not without some excitement! Sam beat Charlie 2-1 in the petit-finals to take third.
